Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2025
These terms and conditions apply when you book any of my services. When I send you an email confirming the work we’re doing together, these terms will be attached and form part of our agreement.
That email + these terms = our contract.
If there’s ever a clash between the two, the info in the email takes priority. It’s important to me that everything feels clear and fair - so if anything doesn’t make sense, please ask.
About Birch & Bloom
Birch & Bloom Ltd, a Wolverhampton-based social media consultancy supporting businesses across the West Midlands (and beyond) with content strategy and monthly platform management.
I’ll confirm exactly what we’re working on together in writing - but here’s the kind of support I typically offer:
Social media strategy sessions
Content creation and planning
Monthly management and scheduling
Caption writing and creative direction
Brand and marketing consultations
I aim to ensure clear timelines and open communication, and I’ll always do my best to get the results you’re after. That said, social media is ever-changing, and outcomes (like engagement or follower growth) depend on a range of factors. I can’t guarantee results, but I’ll always give you a solid strategy and my best effort.
What I need from you
To do a great job, I’ll need you to provide things like:
Brand guidelines, photos, or videos
Login details (securely shared )
Feedback and approvals (within agreed timeframes)
If delays happen because I’m waiting on information from you, I can’t be held responsible for missing deadlines.
When our agreement starts and ends
Once you give written confirmation (usually by email or accepting a quote), these terms kick in.
Project-based work ends when the work is completed and delivered.
Monthly management or ongoing support continues until either of us gives 30 days’ notice to end our agreement.
Payment terms
Here’s how payment usually works:
For projects or one-off sessions:
I may ask for a 25% deposit upfront, with the balance due on completion.
If under £500, full payment is usually requested upfront or on delivery.
For monthly clients:
Invoices are sent at the end of each month for the work delivered during that time.
Payment terms are 7 days unless agreed otherwise in writing.
If payment is late, I reserve the right to pause work and may charge interest (5% above Bank of England base rate, per annum, accruing daily). Let me know ASAP if something’s gone wrong - I’m human and flexible where possible.
Confidentiality & data
Your business info and login details are safe with me — I won’t share them with anyone else. When we wrap up working together, I recommend you change your passwords just to be extra secure.
If I’m managing data collection (like email signups or Facebook ad audiences), you are the data controller and I’m the data processor under UK data laws. You dictate what gets collected; I just help make it happen.
See my Privacy Policy for more details.
If something goes wrong
If you’re ever unhappy with the service or something’s not quite right, please tell me ASAP - I genuinely want to fix it.
If things do go wrong, my liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid me for that particular service. I’m not responsible for indirect losses, e.g. lost revenue or missed opportunities.
Creative services (like copywriting and social posts) are subjective - I’ll work to your brief, but style preferences vary and aren’t grounds for breach of contract.
Nothing in this section affects your legal rights.
Other legal aspects
Sometimes, things totally outside our control can affect timelines - like illness, power cuts, or tech issues. That’s called Force Majeure, and neither of us can be held responsible for delays caused by these types of events.
These terms don’t create a formal partnership, employment relationship, or joint venture between us. You can’t transfer this agreement to anyone else without written consent - and neither can I, unless we agree in writing.
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes will be handled by the courts in England and Wales.
Final note
Thanks for taking the time to read all this. I know it’s not the most exciting bit - but it helps keep things clear, fair, and smooth for both of us.
